Tearfully, to my mother (played by ?), in a dream I'm having of a movie in which I'm dumped by Cary Grant, who was first my mother's lover (and so my father?): It's too late now to have no regrets, and that was probably an unrealistic goal anyhow, but I just want to be a little less of a disappointment to myself at the end of every day. Music—very dramatic—comes up as the end credits roll. Somehow it's an uplifting, "happy" ending!
