It's hard to explain to someone who isn't a collage artist what a treasure it is to receive an envelope stuffed with ephemera—sometimes literally litter picked up off the street—especially when it comes from a location you've never been and are not likely to ever be...like, in my case, Illinois. Above is a mailing envelope with some of the stuff I received from Diane Keys; some of it, I already couldn't wait to incorporate into my next handmade sheet of "crap-paper."
Below are two finished pieces from Diane. On the top, a little booklet; beneath, a devotional card executed on the back of a "real" devotional/sympathy card.
