In this sense, only human beings can bring about the Apocalypse, reverse the original Fall, and allow Divinity to ascend back to heaven. Man is the potential savior of God, but first, like Christ, he must sacrifice himself. The end of humanity is the beginning of a paradise regained. There's not a wild animal, insect, bird, river, or tree on the planet that wouldn't agree.
