A super-generous offering of work that increases my admiration of Claudia's ability to make "large-scale" abstractions on a small scale. These pieces are all done on advertising postcards no bigger than 6x8 inches, painted front and back! This could easily be an entire gallery's worth of work & it all fit in a single envelope. I've always thought of abstract painting as something that only works well when oversized, but Claudia proves me mistaken time and time again. No matter how small her work, it always seems larger than you are, drawing you inside, imparting an Alice-in-Wonderland charm over the viewer.
